American rock musician and producer Steve Albini, who worked with the cult group Nirvana, died at the age of 61, The New York Times reported.
Information about the death was confirmed by an employee of the recording studio that belonged to Albini. The musician died on May 8 at his home in Chicago. According to preliminary information, the cause of death was a heart attack.
Albini was born at the end of July 1962 in California. At the age of 20, he began his music career with the group Big Black. He was considered the “prophet” of aggressive rock.
Later he founded a recording studio and became a music producer. During his career, he managed to work with the groups Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey and many others.
